State Theory Tests

Wednesday my daughter's received their grades for the state theory test in piano that they took back at the end of January.

Biscuit received an 80. This was her first time taking a test of any kind and we are all very proud of her. She got a little confused on the bass clef notes but we are working on those and she is getting it. :-) She was quite upset that she won't be getting a medal (those are only for 90+ scores), but she will receive a certificate!!

The girl who chooses to remain nameless got a 100!!! She took the 6th grade test, being that she is in the 6th grade. I am so proud of her! She really practiced for this test (they both did). She will be receiving a GOLD medal at this year's piano recital.
This is her 5th year taking piano lessons and she has done wonderfully.

This Sunday the girl who chooses to remain nameless will be performing in a 'Master's Recital'. Don't know much about this one as it is the first we have done. She will play the Andante movement from Clementi's Sonatina. Memorized!
